Snow Emergency Parking Ban - 2/24/2022 at 9:00 PM

A winter storm is coming tonight which is expected to drop six to twelve inches of snow. Please stay off of the roads and allow the plows to clear the snow.

A Snow Emergency Parking Ban will be in effect starting at 9:00 PM on Thursday 2/24/2022 and ending at 9:00 PM on Friday 2/25/2022. Police will be towing.

Off-street parking is available at the following municipal parking lots: Edwards Block Parking Lot, Central Street Parking Lot, and the RMV Lot on LaRochelle Way. Following the Snow Emergency, if the Department of Public Works needs to close municipal lots to clear them of snow, they will be posted with "No Parking" signs the prior evening.

Please help us protect you and the neighborhood by clearing sidewalks and fire hydrants as required by Town Bylaw Section 7-406: "Owners/Agents of Property Abutting Sidewalks Required to Remove Snow". This bylaw requires sidewalks and hydrants to be cleared within 24 hours of the storm's cessation. Police will be ticketing. Also, please do not place snow back into roadways, as this is a violation of the Town Bylaw Section 7-406.

Additional information can be found on the Town website, including detailed information about Winter Parking Bans.
